Product withdrawal
What is changing?
Bubblegum products are being withdrawn from sale from 1 November 2025.
This does not impact existing policies and current customers.
Existing customers remain supported, and you’ll continue to enjoy your current coverage until your policy expires.
Why are the products being withdrawn?
MoneySmart launched Bubblegum as a brand with the intent of shaking up the General Insurance landscape and bringing better service and better experiences to Singaporeans.
Due to changes in the operating climate in Singapore and increasing operating costs, MoneySmart has decided to sunset the products and stop new sales.
Existing customers will continue to receive the customer service they expect, and coverage under policies sold is not affected.
Is Bubblegum going out of business?
No.
Bubblegum is a range of insurance products brought to you by MoneySmart Financial Pte. Ltd (MoneySmart), a Registered Insurance Broker licensed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (“MAS”).
The products themselves are being withdrawn, but MoneySmart Financial will continue to trade and act in a regulated capacity.
Do I need to find a new insurer?
All policies sold are completely valid, so you don’t need to rush.
Existing Car Insurance and Personal Accident Insurance customers can continue to renew their policies up to 31 October 2025.
For policies that are not renewed before that date , our team will help manage your renewal to make sure you have continuous coverage.
What happens to my data after my policy ends?
Although Bubblegum products are being withdrawn, MoneySmart FInancial Pte Ltd will continue to operate in a brokerage capacity. We take data protection seriously. Your personal data will be safely stored and managed in accordance with regulatory requirements (including PDPA) and our internal data retention policies, even after Bubblegum products are withdrawn.
When is this happening?
We will stop accepting new purchases (and renewals where applicable) after 31 October 2025. Customer support for existing policies continues until each policy’s expiry.
Is my current policy still valid?
Yes. All active policies remain valid for the full policy period you purchased. You keep the same coverage and benefits until the policy ends.
Can I still buy or renew?
We’re accepting new purchases (and renewals where applicable) until 31 October 2025. After that date, we will not accept new customers; support for existing policies continues until expiry.
What happens after 31 October 2025?
We’ll no longer accept new purchases (and renewals where applicable), but Customer Service will continue to support existing policies until they expire.
Will I still be able to access my account online?
Yes, MoneySmart will continue to maintain and offer access to the Bubblegum platform, including account management, until all existing Bubblegum policies have expired.
This will be at least 12 months from now.
However, the Bubblegum mobile app will be withdrawn from 1 November 2025.
Will I still be able to access my account details through the App?
The Bubblegum Mobile App will be maintained until 31 October 2025.
After this point, you will still be able to access all your account details on the web at www.bubblegum.co.
